- Large, measuring 10 to 25 centimeters across; shape ranges from convex with a central dip to a broad funnel with an initially inward-curving edge; surface is white to cream, sometimes developing yellowish or pale reddish-brown tints, and has a short, woolly texture.

- Sturdy and solid, 40 to 70 millimeters long and 20 to 40 millimeters thick; matches the cap color and has a short, velvety surface.
- Gills
- Running down the stem, widely spaced, and narrow; colored pale ochre-cream and very brittle.
- Flesh
- Thick and firm in texture.
